Wood is one of the main building materials in HORTUS. To ensure the cycle of our forests is not impaired, more than 20 forestry companies have already started cutting wood for the HORTUS in the partly overaged Swiss forests. The work is coordinated by the company Blumer Lehmann.
At Blumer Lehmann, the wood is made to measure.
"The only thing we can do against climate change is to pursue 'lighthouse projects' to show that sustainable building is possible and that we can contribute to the resolution of this larger problem we face." Richard Jussel
"I would say that the value of this project is its real sustainability, covered from A to Z along the entirety of the process." Richard Jussel
